Faithful are the wounds of a friend, but the kisses of an enemy are deceitful. (Proverbs 27:6)

Even with optimism and a belief in all of the grand niceties in life, sometimes you have to remind people of the nitty-gritty of life. That is, life is not always pleasant. Yet many individuals live as if they’re Christian Scientists, who actually believe that pain is no more than a figment of our imagination. There comes a time, however, when the faithful minister and the church has to tell the truth, even when most people don’t want to hear it. In fact, the minister who does not tell the truth commits theological malpractice.
