For the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to show Himself strong on behalf of those whose heart is loyal to Him. (2 Chronicles 16:9)
In his last prayer, Hezekiah does not ask for anything. Instead, he simply says, “Remember me, Lord. Here are my reasons for staying here. While I am lying here dying, I just want You to remember my wholehearted integrity.” Likewise, you can give God a reason to keep you above the ground. But the acid test is this: Can God speak of your integrity—that is, do you act the same way in private as you do in public? In other words, can God depend on you when He cannot depend on those around you?
In Living in the In-Between Times, Pastor Ralph Douglas West brings the story of the Old Testament prophet Samuel to life, showing you how God speaks in your “in betweens” and what it looks like to live faithfully in these seasons of waiting and wondering.
