Pas the Day - October 10, 2019

If anyone’s work is burned, he will suffer loss; but he himself will be saved, yet so as through the fire. (1 Corinthians 3:15)

There is a word of warning in this passage about some people with a shameful destiny. The phrase “If it is burned up” raises the possibility that some will suffer loss or forfeit what they have. Paul says there will be such a judgment for the person who has indulged in cheap Christian living. Standing in the presence of God, the rewards he would have received will be forfeit. This person will be like someone running out of a burning house who is saved but loses everything he owns.
