So Jacob called the place Peniel, saying, “It is because I saw God face to face, and yet my life was spared.” (Genesis 32:30 NIV)
Whenever you wrestle with God, He reaches down and lifts you up and gives you a new name, nature, identity, and destiny. You might even be left with a limp like Jacob, but at least you are limping with the Lord. Limp, and let that be a reminder that when you stumble and fall, God is able to pick you up. So, limp on with grace, mercy, forgiveness, and another chance. Whatever you have done in your life, God is giving you a new walk.
In Living in the In-Between Times, Pastor Ralph Douglas West brings the story of the Old Testament prophet Samuel to life, showing you how God speaks in your “in betweens” and what it looks like to live faithfully in these seasons of waiting and wondering.
