When He realized that Jacob would not let Him go, He just touched him with His right hand and dislocated his hip, which gave him a limp for the rest of his life. Likewise, God does not have to break you down to get your attention. God can wrestle with you and lovingly mark you at the same time in such a way that you have to live with His mark for the rest of your life. This is wrestling and marking, winning and losing—both at the same time.
