Living Out Good
Today's reading: 1 Peter 4:1-11 (NLT)
Life as we've known it changes once we make the decision to receive Christ as our Savior. We no longer strive to satisfy our human wants and desires; instead, we focus on doing the will of God and being a living example of doing good.
"You won't spend the rest of your lives chasing your own desires, but you will be anxious to do the will of God." (1 Peter 4:2, NLT)
Peter provides us with some instruction on this good and godly living in verses 7-11, where he instructs us to be earnest and diligent about praying, love each other greatly, extend hospitality and serve one another with the spiritual gifts God has given us.
Would you describe yourself as being "anxious to do the will of God"? How you have lived out and demonstrated Peter's instructions on godly living in verses 7-11 in the past two weeks--praying earnestly, loving others, extending hospitality, or using one or more of your spiritually gifts? Be specific. Tami
