Living Stones

today's reading.
1 Peter 2:4-10    As you come to him, a living stone rejected by men but in the sight of God chosen and precious...

think about it.
How does Peter describe Jesus (2:4)? How does he describe us as believers (4:5, 9)? What service are we to offer (2:5)? What makes us this chosen, holy people (2:10)? How does God's mercy help you view His judgment and rewards?

Today we get a little mini sermon of sorts on being God's people. Peter starts with the foundation--Christ--who is the living cornerstone, and then tells us that those who follow and believe in Christ "like living stones are being built up as a spiritual house."
