Complete Picture

today's reading.
Micah 7   Woe is me! For I have become as when the summer fruit has been gathered, as when the grapes have been gleaned: there is no cluster to eat, no first-ripe fig that my soul desires...

The final chapter of Micah was my favorite of the Book. I liked how it provided a complete picture, starting with a look at sin, evil and judgment, then in the middle of the chapter showing us godly living as we wait on God and concluding with a beautiful reminder of God's love. I especially liked verse 19 "He will again have compassion on us; he will tread our iniquities underfoot. You will cast all our sins into the depths of the sea."

What do verses 1-7 show us about the "human" heart and the consequences of sin? What did you learn from verses 8-17 about waiting on God's timing? What encouragement did you draw from verses 18-20? Tami
