Joy in Forgiveness

Luke 15:11-32    And he said, "There was a man who had two sons. And the younger of them said to his father, 'Father, give me the share of property that is coming to me.' And he divided his property between them...

As I read the parable of the prodigal son once again today, I was struck by the joy surrounding the father forgiving his wayward son and the son seeking forgiveness from his father. It's pretty amazing how such a hurtful situation could result in full restoration of the damaged relationship and in such great joy. 

What does this parable show you about the power of forgiveness? How have you experienced restoration and joy when you've forgiven someone or been forgiven? Tami
