Toeing the Line

today's reading.
2 Thessalonians 2:13-17   But we ought always to give thanks to God for you, brothers beloved by the Lord, because God chose you as the firstfruits to be saved, through sanctification by the Spirit and belief in the truth...

As Paul encourages the believers at Thessalonica he also challenges them to "stand firm" and to hold to what they've been taught (vs. 15). I found myself thinking Amen to that, Paul! Why? Because standing firm is foundational for us, and it doesn't just happen. If we're not intentional about being in God's Word and continuing to grow our relationship with God, standing firm and holding ground won't happen.
