Step Up

today's reading.
Judges 4:12-23    When Sisera was told that Barak the son of Abinoam had gone up to Mount Tabor...
Judges 4:12-23

think about it.
What reason does Deborah give Barak for going into battle (4:14)? How does God give Israel the victory? What do you learn here about the people God uses (Deborah, Jael, Barak, etc.)? How does that encourage you?

the blog.
Today I thought it would be good to take a closer look at Barak, the second half of the tag team here in Judges 4. Barak was hesitant and tentative about stepping up and doing. But with prompting and reinforcement from Deborah and with the Lord going before him, he was able to completely rout Sisera's army as he led 10,000 men of Israel.

So what can we learn from Barak? Are there any tasks or opportunities you might be overlooking that the Lord has put before you? Tami W.
