Average Joe

today's reading.
Judges 3:12-31    And the people of Israel again did what was evil in the sight of the LORD, and the LORD strengthened Eglon the king of Moab against Israel, because they had done what was evil in the sight of the LORD...
Judges 3:12-31

think about it.
What was the problem God used Ehud to solve (3:12-15)? What was unique about Ehud (3:15-16)? Ehud took advantage of an opportunity to serve God and save Israel; what opportunities have you been given to serve the Lord? What are you doing with those?

the blog.
Our reading in Judges 3:12-31 turns to Ehud today. Ehud wasn't some powerful business man or a mighty warrior. From what we see, he was pretty much an average guy and may even have been physically disabled in his right hand. Even so, Ehud used who he was and how God had wired him to accomplish what God called him to do.

So what does Ehud's story tell us about our service for the Lord? Tami W.
