This is always a hard and sad passage to read because I can definitely identify with Peter. I want so badly to represent Christ and model Him to others. Yet there are still times when I let fear impede my words and actions, and as a result I fall flat on my face and fail to witness when an opportunity presents itself. I regret it immediately, of course, and find myself in the same place as Peter, needing to ask for forgiveness and strength to get up and serve again.
So what does this passage show us about standing up for Christ? What did you learn from Peter's example? Tami
