Service Matters

today's reading.
Nehemiah 11:25-12:26    And as for the villages, with their fields, some of the people of Judah lived in Kiriath-arba and its villages, and in Dibon and its villages, and in Jekabzeel and its villages...
Nehemiah 11:25-36

think about it.
How were things organized outside of Jerusalem (11:25-36)? What responsibilities did some of the priests and Levites have (12:22-26)?

the blog.
A number of places in Nehemiah and again today in Nehemiah 11:25-12:26, quite a bit of time is spent showing us the names of God's workers and servants (both average people doing work for the Lord as well as formal workers such as priests and Levites) and their individual jobs or duties.

So what does this tell us about how God values our work and service?
