Sweet Victory

today's reading.
1 John 5:1-5    Everyone who believes that Jesus is the Christ has been born of God, and everyone who loves the Father loves whoever has been born of him...

the blog.
Sometimes I lose sight of just how incredible it is to be a child of God and what that means for me in the here and now. So I was thankful for John's bold statement in 1 John 5:4. "For everyone who has been born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world--our faith." (How about joining me with a big Amen to that?!?)

Take a few minutes to re-read and consider 1 John 5:4-5. How does this passage encourage you today? What does it mean to you that you have "overcome the world?" Tami W.

P.S. Starting Monday, Dr. Kroll will be taking us on a Journey through Revelation for eight weeks on radio. I hope you can join us.
