Be Jesus’ Church

Romans 12:5

In Christ we who are many form one body, and each member belongs to all the others.

One attitude that’s unfortunately too common among groups of Christians is the notion that “We are more right than everybody else.” We don’t necessarily think everybody else is wrong; we just think we’re more right. It’s not a Kingdom-building use of our time to throw rocks at one another over Bible translations or musical instruments or what the preacher wears. The important thing is to be the Church, with Jesus of Nazareth as our head, and to welcome broken people into our midst and love them and communicate the gospel message of His redemption. Let’s pray for unity among Jesus-followers in our community and around the globe, that God’s Kingdom purposes will be advanced.

Heavenly Father, thank You for the Church in the earth. I pray You would send Your Holy Spirit to bring unity of heart and mind across every community. In Jesus’ name, amen.
