Come to Israel

As I speak, three thousands Christians are in Israel participating in the feast of tabernacles, knows as the Jewish holiday Succoth.

This is going to sound like a commercial for the Israel travel industry, but if you haven't been to Israel you should come. Now. Israel needs your presence and financial support.

What about the terrorism you see on television? Terrorism exists anywhere and you may be safer in Israel than in many parts of big American cities.

Yesterday I was on the mount of olives again and at the wailing wall shooting scenes for my show, "After Hours" on Fox News Channel Saturday nights at 11 p.m. Eastern time. I have seen those scenes many times.

Jerusalem always makes me think and feel the presence of Jesus. To see some of the things he saw, which haven't changed, and to walk some of the streets he walked is a great blessing and privilege. It also energizes your Bible reading.

Come to Israel. You'll never regret it.

I'm Cal Thomas in Jerusalem.
