Is it a Baby or a Fetus?

The liberal Post, in a story on House passage of the "Born Alive Infant Protection Act" referred to babies born and breathing following an abortion as "fetuses." Now this is politics taken to the extreme. The baby is completely out of the womb. The umbilical chord may or may not have been cut. The baby is breating and crying. But, according to the Post, the child is still a fetus. Why is that? Its because the woman intended to kill her baby, uh, fetus, and according to pro-choicers, her intentions are all that matter, if when the baby survives and is breathing independent of the woman.
Does this make sense? Of course it does not make sense, but then neither does abortion make sense. Words have meaning and they convey information. To write about a born baby as a fetus is ridiculous and outrageous. I'm Cal Thomas in Washington.
