Thatcher's Ideas Continue to Inspire

Yesterday I shared with you some recent comments by former British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher. Today, the rest of it:

Speaking of socialism, Mrs. Thatcher said there are many kinds. "Socialism," she claimed, "is like one of those horrible viruses. You no sooner discover a remedy for one version, when it spontaneously evolves into another...nowadays socialism is more often dressed up as environmentalism, feminism, or international concern for human rights...new slogans: old errors..."

Mrs. Thatcher continued to say, "America, Britain and our allies have the resources to prevail. But our governments will only have the will to do so if we conservatives challenge false argument and determinedly resist what Solzhenitsyn once called the 'censorship of fashion.'"

Pretty good stuff from an old lady, and a great leader, Margaret Thatcher. If you would like copies of her remarks in yesterdays and today's commentary, write and ask for them. A small contribution helps defray costs.
