Why Do People Hate Bill Clinton?

After all, "by any standard of measure, he is a good man." Except a biblical standard or the constitutional standard.

Why Do People Hate Bill Clinton?
CNN has hired former Clinton apologists James Carville and Paul Begala as their lefties on "Crossfire." In a recent interview, Begala was asked why some people "hate" Clinton so much. Here's what he said.

"I believe these people hate themselves. I believe they hate our country. I believe they hate our culture. ...They can't accept the level of self-loathing they have, and so they project it onto someone else. For all his faults and the troubles in his marriage, Bill Clinton is still married to a girl he met in the library 25 years ago at school...he is a man who never earned more than $35,000 a year because he put service first...by any standard of measure, he is a good man. I believe it is because they hate themselves. And for that, I'll continue to pray for them."

That's funny. I didn't know Begala was a praying man. But his statement is full of the self-righteousness and denial that characterized the Clinton years. Clinton, a "good man" by "any standard"? Not according to a biblical standard. Not even according to the constitutional standard, which we know he violated. I'm Cal Thomas in Washington.
