Anchor Book Depot Update

Dr. Ray Pritchard

When we started Keep Believing Ministries a year ago, our first goal was to restart the Book Depot that allowed us to distribute over 300,000 of copies of An Anchor for the Soul for use in prison ministry, military ministry, disaster relief ministry, and for general missionary outreach. It has taken most of this first year to get things organized to the point where we can reopen the Book Depot. I’m happy to report that a few days ago we placed an order with Moody Publishers for a new printing of 50,000 copies of An Anchor for the Soul. The total cost of this new printing will be around $18,000. We plan to offer the books free of charge for ministries working in the four areas I just mentioned. I want to publicly thank Greg Thornton, Vice President of Publications at Moody Bible Institute, for his help in making this new reprint possible. Ernie Schulz will oversee the books once they are printed and delivered to our storage facility in Chicago.

In case you don’t know, Anchor is a short “gospel book” written in “Wal-Mart English” for people who don’t go to church and don’t know much about the Bible but who want to know how to have their sins forgiven. We have received over 10,000 letters from prisoners who have read the book and wrote to say thank you. Many of them trusted Christ as a result of the book.

We expect the books to arrive from the printer sometime in June. If you would like to help us with the cost of this project, you can donate online via PayPal to Keep Believing Ministries. In the “Add a Special Message” box, note that it is for the “Anchor Book Depot.” Or you can send a check to Keep Believing Ministries, P.O. Box 257, Elmhurst, IL 60126 with a note that it is for the “Anchor Book Depot.”

Mostly we wanted you to know that the Book Depot will soon be open again. This is a huge answer to prayer. Please join us in praying that our Father will direct each book into the hands of someone who needs to know Jesus.
