Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding.

--Proverbs 3:5

You will encounter rough terrain as you travel the path of life. But when the storm clouds start to roll in, it’s so important to put your trust in the Lord.

The apostle Paul was caught in frightening situations time after time. But he always reminded himself of God’s character and His promises, and he managed to rise above his circumstances with unwavering trust in God.

If you’ve been walking with the Lord for a while, you know that there are times when it is very difficult to understand His will… especially when you’re in the middle of a crisis.

But let me encourage you. When the skies darken, the thunder booms, and the lightening claps, don’t panic! Ask God to help you to look beyond the storm and remember that He is with you in the midst of the storm.

Remember to take your refuge in Him, just as David did in times of crisis:

Be merciful to me, O God, be merciful to me! For my soul trusts in you, and in the shadow of your wings I will make my refuge until these calamities have passed by (Psalm 57:1).

GOD OFFERS HOPE AND PEACE FOR THE TERRIFIED TRAVELER
WHEN YOU TRUST HIM AND MAKE HIM YOUR REFUGE.
