The roots of Story Side B date back to the 2003 Exalting Him talent competition on the Trinity Broadcasting Network, when the group beat 1,400 other contestants to win the "band division." That opened many other doors for the band, leading to a five-song EP, opening for the likes of Out of Eden and Jars of Clay, and attention from various record labels. The St. Augustine, Florida based band signed with Gotee Records, and soon was in the studio recording its full-length national debut.
Other songs as constructive, such as the watered-down sounds of "You're Not Alone" and the mid-tempo meandering throughout "Dance to Me," both of which make the group sound somewhat safe and sterilized. The title cut sounds like labelmates House of Heroes, though a cut below that level. As a result, Story Side B still has room to grow and establish themselves, though at least there are glimpses of promise.
