In a nutshell: Between covering MercyMe's "I Can Only Imagine" and Avalon's "Testify To Love," boldly speaking from stage, and appearing at last year's Dove Awards with Natalie Grant, secular country star Wynonna has shown the CCM community that she's an unashamed believer. After six years between studio CDs, the younger half of The Judds turns in a generally inspiring collection of covers that spans classic country (Hank Williams' "I'm So Lonesome I Could Cry"), smooth soul (Bill Withers' "Ain't No Sunshine"), and swampy blues (Stevie Ray Vaughan's "The House Is Rockin'). Though pretty, the endlessly covered standard "When I Fall In Love" is unremarkable. Luckily, this versatile powerhouse of a singer rebounds on the Rodney Crowell-penned ballad "Sing," which Wynonna connects to Colossians in the liner notes.
