Don't let fear stand in your way

December 10, 2009

"Now therefore proclaim… ‘Whoever is fearful and trembling, let him return home and hurry away from Mount Gilead.'"

--Judges 7:3

I probably don't have to tell you that life can be very scary, demanding, and dangerous. But if you want to be victorious, there is something that you must d Remove your fear.

Fear is a huge obstacle to fighting and winning battles. It doesn't make you fit to fight. It makes you fit for failure.

This is why God told Gideon to say to his 32,000 troops, "Whoever is fearful… let him return home." Fear is bad for an army; it's infectious and contagious. So Gideon obeyed God and 22,000 fearful men headed for home!

Now you probably know that God did not stop with eliminating just the fearful. By the time he was finished, Gideon was left with just 300 men to fight Midian's 135,000 warriors.

Do you wonder why God let Gideon face such overwhelming odds? I'll tell you. God wanted Gideon and all of Israel to know that when they won the battle, it was only because God gave them the victory.

God wants you to experience victory in your battles, too. Refuse to let fear stand in the way of doing God's will! Your God is the Prince of Peace. So fear not!

REFUSE TO LET FEAR STAND IN THE WAY OF DOING GOD'S WILL!

OUR THANKS TO YOU!

Pause: Resting in God Instead of Stressing Out

Dear Friend,

Do the words rested... peaceful... and refreshed describe you today? Or do the words stressed... rushed... and pressured better describe your way of life?
If you're like most Christians, you'd probably have to admit those last three words more accurately describe your life most of the time!
The good news is that it doesn't have to be this way... even when your life is one big pressure-cooker. And in my new book, Pause: Resting in God Instead of Stressing Out, I'll show you why.
Based on the principles from Paul's letter to the Philippians and Psalm 23, Pause: Resting in God Instead of Stressing Out will help you find true peace and rest in a world that is anything but peaceful and restful. It's the perfect "pause" button you need!
So please request your copy of Pause: Resting in God Instead of Stressing Out when you give online today!  --Jack Graham
