Taking a Stand
By:  Rick Boxx

A local church discovered their denominational leaders no longer held to the basic tenets of faith. For years they attempted to stop the theological slide in their denomination, but it only deteriorated.

Finally, they knew they had to take a stand. Even though they knew it could cost them their church property this local congregation took a stand and proclaimed, "No More." They are now part of another like-minded denomination and waiting on a court ruling about their property.

2 Thessalonians 2:15 teaches, "So then, brothers, stand firm and hold to the teachings we passed on to you, whether by word of mouth or by letter."

Whether it's in your church or business, determine God's essentials and then be bold and take a stand when asked to compromise beyond them.
