There is something so exciting about a new year, a new beginning, a fresh start.
What is it that you are hopeful for? What dream is in your heart that you dare not speak aloud? What new beginning do you need? What is it that has held you down for so long and you do not want to carry that burden into another year?
What better time than the new year to proclaim it your best year? What better time to start over, fresh and new? It excites me to even write about it. I'm jumping out of my chair with the prospect of 2013. Last year wasn't a bad year for me. Yet, I'm even more hopeful for this one. My dream is that each year exceeds the last -- that I strive for bigger dreams, pursue deeper relationships, live the life that God intended on a new level.
Make a decision today to begin your future. Some of you need to hear today that your past is simply that --- the past. Some of you are living in regret or the hope of what could have been -- a failed marriaged, a failed relationship, a failed business venture. LET IT GO.

Decide that today is that of a future for you and your children.

Decide that you are going to forgive that person that hurt you WHETHER THEY DESERVE IT OR NOT.

Decide that 2013 is going to be your best year yet and do everything you can to make it that.

Decide that you will not longer be a pessimist, but forever the optimist.
For some of you, it is a new business that you need to start. For others, you need to step up to the plate and begin to actively parent. Maybe you've been disengaged from your children's lives. It's time to get active. There's the obvious--- maybe you need to get healthy, maybe you need to stop smoking.
Oftentimes, true peace is not the absence of problems, but rather new perspective on how to handle them.
