The Gift of Time

My wife and I enjoyed sitting quietly with friends this evening. We laughed, shared stories and explored future dreams. With music playing softly in the background, my wife offered finger foods. More than anything, however, was the slower pace we offered ourselves and our friends. We slowed the pace of our lives to share the gift of time with each other. Jesus did this routinely, gathering with friends, laughing, sharing stories, connecting with people. How often do you allow yourself the opportunity to slow life down a bit? Do you need to weave times of slower pace into your life?
