Live Each Day Fully

My wife and I have lost two dear friends during this past year, reminding us again about the fragility of life. We still must remind ourselves that they are gone, never to return to this life. Loss wakes us up to the brevity of life and, as the writer of Ecclesiastes says, “Life is fleeting, like a passing mist. It is like trying to catch hold of a breath; All vanishes like a vapor; everything is a great vanity” (Ecclesiastes 1:2). It is so important that we ‘show up for life,’ that we live each day fully and appreciate every aspect of it. Too soon it will be gone.
