There is little so painful as the loss of hope. Having experienced downfall after downfall, disappointment after disappointment, any of us could succumb to the loss of hope. Yet, we are told in Scripture, “But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint” (Isaiah 40:31). It is so good to know that when the world dashes our hopes, the Lord renews them. Hope is as near as a prayer, a Scripture and a relationship to the Living God.
