Evangelical football star turned sports analyst Tim Tebow will sponsor 23 proms across the country for teens with special needs. The event, called “Night to Shine,” invites teens ages 16 and up to attend the dance on February 13 for free.

Tebow’s nonprofit Tim Tebow Foundation made the event possible.

The Christian Post reports that 23 churches across the country have agreed to host the proms which will  feature limo rides, hairstyling, makeup application, professional photography, dancing and games. The teens will also be greeted at the door with a buddy to accompany them during the prom.

Tebow said, "We are so excited to be able to create this opportunity for thousands of people around the country with special needs. This event perfectly fits our mission to bring faith, hope and love to those needing a brighter day in their darkest hour of need."

The Tim Tebow Foundation hopes to create an unforgettable night for the guests.

The nonprofit’s executive director Erik Dellenback said, "Everyone should have the opportunity to experience a prom where they feel loved and welcomed and we pray this event will positively impact the lives of thousands of people across the country.”
