Anointed Christians

Jonathan, Saul’s son, had a son who was lame in his feet. He was five years old when the news about Saul and Jonathan came from Jezreel; and his nurse took him up and fled. And it happened, as she made haste to flee, that he fell and became lame. His name was Mephibosheth. - >2 Samuel 4:4

Look at the faithfulness of this nurse. When she heard about Saul and Jonathan’s deaths, she took Mephibosheth and ran. I see God’s hand upon this woman, because Mephibosheth probably would have been killed. She took care of Mephibosheth until the perfect time, when he would come out and David would bless him. He will live in David’s house, because David loved Jonathan and Saul. He would never rise against Saul. He had the power to kill him so many times, but he would not touch the Lord’s anointed.

David made a covenant with Jonathan in 1 Samuel 20:42, saying: ‘May the Lord be between you and me, and between your descendants and my descendants, forever.’ David was faithful to Jonathan and Saul, even after their deaths. He did not come against their families. He treated them just as he treated Saul, as the Lord’s anointed.

I think it is really important for us to recognize the hand of God in each one of our lives. God has anointed each one of us to do a work He has planned for us. Each of our callings is different, but all are from the Lord.

If we recognize the hand of God upon the lives of others, we should never come against them. We should honor them and they should honor us, because we have all been anointed by the Lord to do His work.

Every believer is God’s miracle.
