Clothed From the Inside Out – Beloved Women – December 27, 2018

Put on then, as God's chosen ones, holy and beloved, compassionate hearts, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience, bearing with one another and, if one has a complaint against another, forgiving each other; as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive. And above all these put on love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony. – Colossians 3:12-14 ESV
TODAY’S ENCOURAGEMENT
Over the years fashion trends come and go and there is always a new look. More than physical clothing Colossians 3:11 reminds us of the spiritual clothing that we should wear. Our outward appearance can distract us from dressing ourselves spiritually. As we start our day and make ourselves presentable for the outside world we must not forget to attend to our hearts and how we are clothed from the inside out. Each morning- there is a mission field waiting on us and we must be prepared for it.
We need to be ready for divine appointments and believe that God will use each of us for His glory every day. Putting on our spiritual clothing means we won’t miss the person in our day that needs our compassion, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience. May our hearts focus on our inward clothing first so that we will be others focused and not self-focused.
PRAY
Lord help us to be pure at heart and be cleansed by You as we start each day. Help us to put on compassion, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience. Use us for Your glory. In Jesus name. Amen.
