Word of Knowledge
“When you have departed from me today, you will find two men by Rachel’s tomb in the territory of Benjamin at Zelzah; and they will say to you, ‘The donkeys which you went to look for have been found. And now your father has ceased caring about the donkeys and is worrying about you, saying, “What shall I do about my son?” ’ ”

Notice, once again in directing Saul’s future, Samuel used a word of knowledge. This is a spiritual gift that is still used in the Church today. In 1 Corinthians 12:8, the word of wisdom and the word of knowledge are spiritual gifts that are mentioned together:…for to one [believer]is given the word of wisdom through the Spirit, to another the word of knowledge through the same Spirit… The word of knowledge is simply information given to a person by God––knowledge in which they otherwise would not have had.
Many Christians are still ignorant of their spiritual gifts given to them by God. Paul the Apostle mentioned 21 gifts that are given to believers in Christ, by the Holy Spirit. The word translated gift in the Greek language is literally “spirituals.” In 1 Corinthians 12:1-11, there is a set of nine gifts, in Romans 12:6-8 is another seven gifts, and in Ephesians 4:11-12, yet another five. Paul taught believers in the Church of Corinth that spiritual gifts needed to be exercised in order––not in chaos. We need order in the Church, otherwise people will get turned off to the Gospel.
Understand, God desires to bless people and do a work in their lives. It is good to be content with the gifts God has given to you. He knows what you can handle. There are those who can get puffed up or have the mentality that they are more spiritual than anyone else. When you are using the gifts of the Holy Spirit, never try to bring attention to yourself. Satan can use your pride to destroy you.
God never loses sight of the treasure which He has placed in our earthern vessels.
