Has God Touched Your Heart?

Then Samuel explained to the people the behavior of royalty, and wrote it in a book and laid it up before the Lord. And Samuel sent all the people away, every man to his house. And Saul also went home to Gibeah; and valiant men went with him, whose hearts God had touched. But some rebels said, “How can this man save us?” So they despised him, and brought him no presents. But he held his peace.
1 Samuel 10:25-27

God surrounded Saul with valiant and faithful men; those whose hearts were touched by the Lord. However, there were those who opposed Saul. There were men on the other side––rebels––who could not stand him.

These verses spoke to my heart personally because if we are to turn the world upside down for Jesus Christ, then we need men in the ministry whose hearts have been touched by the Lord. Men like these will become one with a leader God has called into ministry. They will flow with them because they are of one mind, one heart and one spirit.

Men who have been touched by the Lord have the same passion and vision. They have genuine qualities to serve alongside a leader in the ministry.  Men who have not been touched by the Lord can become enemies of a leader; they become problem people in the ministry. Why?

They may be jealous of a new leader because of the position God has placed them in. Jealous people cannot stand rivals. Understand that if God has placed a person in a leadership position; then God will keep them there. They do not have to worry about men who are rebellious.

Seriously, I pray that God will give me men whose hearts have been touched by God. I know they will be faithful to God and to me. Men like these will continuously stand behind you, they will always love you! Has your heart been touched by God to come alongside a leader in the ministry, to serve with them and be a loyal and faithful friend?

“Give me one hundred preachers who fear nothing but sin, and desire nothing but God, and I care not a straw whether they be clergymen or laymen; such alone will shake the gates of hell and set up the kingdom of heaven on earth.”
