Ditching the Hitchhiker Spirit – Beloved Women – April 2, 2019

READ

Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. - Philippians 4:6-7 ESV

TODAY’S ENCOURAGEMENT

Lately, I feel trapped in between my former self and my future self. I know that I am not who I used to be. I know the direction God is leading me. Yet, I have no idea exactly how to reach the destination.

At times like this, I feel like the hitchhiker patiently awaiting God or anyone else to pick me up the road of life and help launch me into my calling.

Have you ever felt like a hitchhiker?

In these moments, we have to be careful not to allow fear and doubt to creep in. We must know that if God has promised us something, it will certainly come into fruition. He is not a liar. Our job is to stand strong in our faith and know that some delays are worth it. A delayed promise is not a denied one. Choose to believe that God is awaiting the perfect timing to ignite you into your purpose.

PRAY

Father, I thank You that Your plans for me are good. Help me to catch Your rhythm for my life. Teach me to not be desperate in the wait but to focus on Your presence. Thank You, Lord, that You alone are enough for me. In Jesus Name, I pray. Amen.

REFLECT

Are there any areas in your life where you have become impatient with God?
