God is in Control

So he [Saul] went there to Naioth in Ramah. Then the Spirit of God was upon him also, and he went on and prophesied until he came to Naioth in Ramah. And he also stripped off his clothes and prophesied before Samuel in like manner, and lay down naked all that day and all that night. Therefore they say, “Is Saul also among the prophets?”
1 Samuel 19:23-24

When Saul arrived in Naioth to capture and kill David, God did not allow it. Instead, the Holy Spirit came upon Saul, and he began to prophesy, just like his servants he had sent beforehand. God was fully and completely in control! Yet the unusual event left a question in the minds of the people, “Is Saul among the prophets?” Not so! What was going on? God permitted this to happen to protect and spare the life of David; otherwise he would have been killed.

It is comforting to know that during great times of affliction, trial and persecution, God is always in control. Read these Scriptures and pray for God to bring comfort to your own heart in the situations you find yourself in today.

Isaiah 41:10: Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.’ ”

Proverbs 19:21 ESV: Many are the plans in the mind of a man, but it is the purpose of the Lord that will stand.

Romans 8:28And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.

Remember God loves us, He helps us, and His presence is with us.

God is our refuge and strength,
avery present help in trouble.
~Psalm 46:1~
