Heart and Home, Marriage and Ministry - Tuesday, July 9th 2019
30 For we are members of His body, of His flesh and of His bones. 31 "For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh." 32 This is a great mystery, but I speak concerning Christ and the church. 33 Nevertheless let each one of you in particular so love his own wife as himself, and let the wife see that she respects her husband.
God has a beautiful design for us as individuals, as families, and as a church family. He sets up family to be our first ministry, not before Him, but as a place to serve as unto the Lord. God created marriage as a picture of our relationship with Jesus. As we keep Him first in prayer, Bible study, and consistent fellowship with other believers our relationship grows and begins to feed into our earthly family and marriages as well. As we keep Jesus first in our lives we are empowered by Him to evangelize, bless, and disciple our home, marriages, and ministry. As we continue to be poured into by the Lord we then begin ministering beyond our home to our neighbors and from our neighbors to the rest of the world.
And He is the head of the body, the church, who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in all things He may have the preeminence.
Jesus wants to bless you by leading your heart, your home, your marriage, your ministry, and your church.
Life Lesson: The mission of your family, the mission of your marriage, the mission of your home is to reach and teach: to evangelize and disciple.
Thank you for desiring to make my heart, home, marriage, and ministry an important part of growing in Your grace and love. Please forgive me when You are not preeminent in those things. Please give me Your power to make time with You to pray, study Your Word, and be among Your people. Help me to always keep the time with You a precious priority. In Jesus name. Amen.
Living to tell what He died to say,
