TODAY’S ENCOURAGEMENT
When was the last time someone hurt you or made you mad? Sooner or later, we're all on someone's list.
Our human nature guarantees it.
We're each a work in progress. In the process, we can sometimes be more than someone else can handle.
But people weren't meant to be handled. We were made to be loved. It’s the greatest among the trio of virtues in today’s verse.
However, well-meaning missteps or self-serving malice, makes our relationships (and our love) complicated.
Yet, if every person meets all my conditions, I'll never learn how to love unconditionally.
Thankfully, we have a Helper. Christ gives us His Holy Spirit so we can love more and listen better.
He renews us, gives us strength and helps us to forgive.
What if the issue that seems complicated is to make us more like Christ? In my experience, whatever challenges me the most, is often what God uses to change me the most.
Thankfully, with Him all things are possible – even when love becomes complicated.
PRAY
Dear God, you are love and you know just what I need to shift from my pain to your power. Forgive me where I’ve fallen short of Christ’s example. I desire to follow you instead of being driven by relationship drama. I receive the Holy Spirit's help. In Jesus’ Name, I pray, Amen.
