Pastor Rich Wilkerson and his wife, DawnCheré, are praising Jesus after they were able to bring their new baby girl home from the hospital following a six-day stay in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.

“Welcome Home Waylon,” Wilkerson captioned a heartwarming Instagram video of his two sons, Wyatt and Wilde, welcoming Waylon home. “Six days later she is home safe. Thank you everyone for your calls, texts, messages and prayers. Means more than you know. We are so grateful to God for our miracle girl,” he added.

According to Church Leaders, DawnCheré gave birth to Waylon, the Wilkerson’s third child, last Friday. Waylon was quickly admitted into the NICU due to difficulties breathing.

Wilkerson, the pastor of Vous Church in Miami, Florida, reached out to his more than 900,000 Instagram followers asking for prayers for his newborn daughter.

“This is my daughter. Never knew a love like this. Keep praying for Waylon, she was admitted into the NICU due to trouble breathing. We are fully confident she’s fine but praying for her breathing and for her stay in NICU to be brief. Grateful for the incredible care she’s receiving,” Wilkerson captioned a photo of Waylon squeezing his finger.

Two days later, Wilkerson issued a “praise report” captioning a video about Waylon’s birth, “PRAISE REPORT. We got to hold Waylon today. Thank you so much for your prayers, they are working. Our faith is high.”

Just one day later, Wilkerson gave an update noting that Waylon’s feeding tube had been removed and that she was getting better.

Then, on Monday, Wilkerson shared that Waylon’s IV was removed and she was breathing on her own.

“HALLELUJAH!!” Wilkerson wrote on Instagram. “They took Waylon’s IV out and she is off of her oxygen! They will continue to monitor her for a couple of days in NICU. We are celebrating the progress. Keep praying until she is home with us.”

A few days later, after Waylon spent six days in the NICU, the Wilkerson’s were able to bring their daughter home.

“Waylon is Home,” DawnCheré wrote on Instagram. “Today Wyatt & Wilde met their new best friend. They are crazy about her and it melts my heart. So special having the whole gang together. Thanks for celebrating & praying with us. We plan to celebrate every day moving forward! Thank you, Jesus.”
