God’s Help in Times of Trouble
Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might.
Ephesians 6:10
Remember, Paul called on Christians to be strong in the Lord, in the power of His might. It is through the Holy Spirit’s power, as we yield to His leading, that we shall have victory in our battles.
Seriously, Christians do not have to worry about their lives. Even though we are living in the last days, and things are changing rapidly, even day by day, God will help us. The Psalms continually give us great comfort and hope. Think on these incredible Scriptures to have a renewed hope in God’s ability to help you in times of trouble:
Psalm 46:1: God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.
Psalm 71:16: I will go in the strength of the Lord GOD; I will make mention of Your righteousness, of Yours only.
Psalm 73:26: My flesh and my heart fail; but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.
Psalm 84:7: They go from strength to strength; each one appears before God in Zion.
Psalm 89:17: For You are the glory of their strength, and in Your favor our horn [a person, symbol of strength] is exalted.
Psalm 96:6: Honor and majesty are before Him; strength and beauty are in His sanctuary.
Psalm 138:3: In the day when I cried out, You answered me, and made me bold with strength in my soul.
In your journal write down what Scripture ministered to you the most and give the reasons why it did so.
It is a comfort to hear the words of God in times of stress.
