‘Gratitude’ by I Am They

from GodTube.com

Christ was born into the world and made the ultimate sacrifice. He laid down his life, dying on the cross for all humanity. As John 3:16 makes clear, “God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”

Nothing we could ever say or do will ever come close to the amount of praise that Christ deserves for his act of love. The lyrics from the song “Gratitude” by the group I Am They so eloquently express this idea.

In the video for the song, the musicians sing the tune in a beautiful, quaint little church. Right from the start, the singers admit that anything they could ever do or say will never be enough to thank the Lord for his sacrifice all those years ago.

So, knowing that whatever they do give will still be wholly inadequate, they decide to give the only thing they can – their praise, their “hallelujah.”

“I know it’s not much
But I’ve nothing else fit for a King
Except for a heart singing hallelujah”

Like the lyrics to the song, the video is simple, straightforward, and beautifully shot. The simplicity of the video helps to put the focus on the words of the song.

Give a listen to this song. It’s one that could be listened to several times on repeat, and its message and truth would never dampen!

Hebrews 13:15 “By him, therefore, let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name.”
