Raging Waters Threatened to Overcome a Flailing Fawn but Then a Furry Angel Came to the Rescue

God Updates

At first glance, you might not be able to tell that this dog saved a deer, but that’s exactly what happened. He was the angel that saved the drowning fawn.

In a video posted on YouTube, you can see a black dog in the water with something in its mouth. As the video goes on, you can see it is a baby deer terrified and crying. The black labrador retriever is bringing it to safety.

He Brought the Baby Deer To Safety

The dog swims across the river, climbs up on the bank to where his owner is standing, and the owner takes the baby deer from him. What a good boy!

We aren’t sure how the dog found the baby deer, but it’s a good thing that he did. The dog saved the deer from drowning, and that’s a heartwarming thought.

We know that dogs can be great at rescuing people or other animals; think Lassie or rescue dogs, and this labor retriever is another example of that. He saw another animal in trouble and jumped into action.

Let the Dog Be a Reminder

This dog can be a great reminder for us humans.

When we see someone in need, do we jump into action as the Bible tells us to? If we can help others in different ways not only will we make this world a better place, but we are answering the call that Jesus gave us to love our neighbor as ourselves.

"Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.” – Matthew 22:37-40
