I am the door. If anyone enters by Me, he will be saved, and will go in and out and find pasture.

--John 10:9

There was a rich, Texas oil man that left instructions on how he wanted to be buried before he died—he wanted to be buried in his beautiful, gold Cadillac. After he died, he was lowered into a huge hole in the ground in West Texas laid out in his Cadillac just as he’d requested. As those who were in attendance of his burial looked on, one West Texan leaned over to his friend and said, “Man, that’s livin’ ain’t it?”

A lot of people don’t know the difference between life and death. Interestingly enough, there are two classes of Christians. I want to be careful when I talk about this because I don’t want to say that one type of Christian is more saved than the other. But obviously there are some Christians who are experiencing the Christian life to the fullest more than others. And those “others” know very little about the joy and satisfaction of living fully for Jesus.

Believe it or not, a lot of Christians are thinking they will just barely get into heaven. They look at salvation like a fire insurance policy and that’s it. Then there are those Christians that are going to heaven when they die and experiencing it along the way until that time.

If you belong to Jesus Christ, then don’t live beneath your privileges. It is your birthright as a born-again believer to experience the fullness of His blessing. Don’t get in the habit of just trying to bring the Bible down to your experience; get your experience with Christ up to par with what the Bible says.

Is the Christian life working for you? Are the promises of God alive in your life? Are you experiencing the fulfillment of your faith? Is your prayer life working? Is your witness working around others? It’s time to put Satan behind you, my friend, because his goal in your life is “to steal, and to kill, and to destroy” (John 10:10). Enter through the door that leads to abundant life in your Christian walk.

JESUS IS THE DOOR TO ABUNDANT SALVATION AND JOY IN LIFE.
