  • Flower is gone. But her legacy lives—and squabbles—on, thanks to dueling daughters Rocket Dog and Maybelline. No, this is not a new soap opera. It’s just life as they know it in Animal Planet’s fourth season of Meerkat Manor.

  • People who are unhappy are always unhappy for the same reason: They're stuck in the lie that they had wonderful parents who loved them.

  • Jerry Bowyer appeared on the Larry Kudlow Radio Show on Saturday, May 17th, at 12:00 pm Eastern. The Larry Kudlow Radio Show aired live from 10:00am until 1:00pm (EST)

  • We have posted a new sermon on the Keep Believing website called Be Still and Know. The sermon came in response to a question from a friend in China who wondered why God sent the terrible earthquake that took so many lives in the Sichuan province last week. Here is an excerpt from the message:

  • Back in the seventies "Styx" recorded “The Grand Illusion.” In the title track by that name, the lyrics portray the pursuits of this world and the promises offered thereby as a grand illusion. According to the song, as all of us follow the world’s siren call it seems as if we’re under a spell and we really cannot figure out who we are. Oddly enough, the message has merit as far as it goes and should be pondered by each one of us.

  • Monday's lot of topical conversation; ABC News has a piece that features parents being punsihed for kids bad behavior...and even children suffering for their parent's lack of responsibility. When should we hold the parent, or the child, responsible? Plus a never ending flow of Gay Marriage opinions.

  • A song by Brandon Heath resonates with me. The song is called “I’m Not Who I Was” and that describes any person who has decided to put their trust in Jesus Christ. It certainly describes me. I am not who I was forty years ago or twenty years ago or even one year ago. This journey with Jesus cannot be status quo. You are either going forward or backward.

  • On those weeks when I’m just not feeling the pop culture goodness, thankfully there’s the Steelehouse Podcast to help me find out what I should or shouldn’t be watching, reading or listening to when it comes to film, television, books, music and more.

  • Next week (May 19-23)Back to the Bible will broadcast five messages I gave on the topic of “The Healing Power of Forgiveness.”
