A new film starring David Oyelowo (Selma) and Kate Mara (Transcendence) is set to prominently feature Pastor Rick Warren’s inspirational book, The Purpose Driven Life. Based on true events, Captive tells the story of a recovering meth addict and mother who is suddenly taken hostage in her own apartment. With nowhere else to turn, she reads to her captor from The Purpose Driven Life. In doing so, she discovers not only the purpose for her own life, but a peaceful resolution to their harrowing conflict. According to Relevant Magazine, the movie is set to release September 18th of this year.
