Upcoming Gleason A Story of Faith and Fatherhood

Ryan Duncan

Coming out of the Sundance Film Festival, the new documentary Gleason is a touching journey about faith, fatherhood, and perseverance. This emotional story centers on the life of Steve Gleason, the former New Orleans Saints defensive back who, at age 34, was diagnosed with ALS and given two years to live. A few weeks after this announcement, Gleason discovered his wife, Michel, was pregnant. The film, which is largely composed of a video journal Gleason made for his unborn son, chronicles Steve’s determination and love in the face of deteriorating health. Though painful to watch, this documentary also serves as a powerful testimony to the human spirit, and a reminder of the unbreakable bonds of family.

Amazon Studios and Open Road Films will release GLEASON in select theaters on July 29th, 2016. For more information, visit the films official website here.
