Psalm 146:5-10

“Blessed is he whose help is the God of Jacob, whose hope is in the Lord his God, who made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that is in them, who keeps faith forever; who executes justice for the oppressed, who gives food to the hungry. The Lord sets the prisoners free; the Lord opens the eyes of the blind. The Lord lifts up those who are bowed down; the Lord loves the righteous. The Lord watches over the sojourners; he upholds the widow and the fatherless, but the way of the wicked he brings to ruin. The Lord will reign forever, your God, O Zion, to all generations. Praise the Lord!”

How blessed we are to have such an amazing God working on our behalf!

When you are in trouble and things are going wrong, remember who your help is; turn to him. When you are discouraged and paralysed with fear or loneliness or hurt, remember who your hope is; turn to him.

Read these powerful words again and see how God is reminding you of who he is, what his nature is like. If you align your life to him, if you build your life around your relationship with him, if you make his purposes your own, then you will experience all the goodness that he is waiting to pour out on you. He will become your “help” and your “hope”.
