TODAY’S ENCOURAGEMENT

As a teacher, there are occasions when I send a student on an errand. Usually, there’s no shortage of volunteers for this type of request. Students know that leaving my classroom on a special assignment is a privilege. While many desire to go, some students are more likely to be selected than others. Knowing their behavior outside of my room is a reflection on me, I won’t choose anyone I can’t trust to follow my plan.

For the chosen ones, they’ve demonstrated through their behavior and attitude in the classroom that I can expect them to do what I’ve asked.

Often as God’s people, we’re eager to serve and desire to be greatly used by Him. We must be careful to remember that when God sends someone out in His name, He’s not going to send anyone He can’t trust.  Those whom God sends need to be about His mission and not their own.

PRAY

Father, thank You for Your sovereign plan. Please help me to be faithful to and walk worthy of my callings. I ask for grace to live for and be about Your agenda and not my own. In Jesus Name, I pray. Amen.

REFLECT

What qualities would you look for in a person before sending them out for you?
