Fall TV: Where They Left Off
- Monday, August 20, 2012
After finally rescuing his wife from North Korea, Jack and Avery decided to renew their wedding vows but ended up getting divorced instead. Liz and Criss worked toward having their first child, with Criss selling his van to a crew of bank robbers to raise money for the nursery. Kenneth and Hazel bickered over the page program, and Tracy was inspired to create his own studio.
There's really no way to predict what insane antics will follow the new episodes of 30 Rock. However, seeing as season 7 is being billed as the show's last, you should expect things to be more over-the-top than ever. My guess? Expect a baby, a marriage, and another live episode.
The Walking Dead (AMC)
A whole lot of people died, and none of them stayed dead. This was due to the unfortunate discovery that everyone was already infected by the zombie virus and were sure to start craving brains the moment they gave up the ghost. Luckily, a mysterious hooded figure turned up with a large sword to help cut down the zombie population.
If you're a fan of the graphic novel you probably know what's coming next. The survivors will start the season by trying to reclaim a prison from the zombies and turning it into their new home. Unfortunately, a shady individual known as The Governor (David Morrisey) also stakes a claim on the location. The group will also find a new ally in the katana-savvy Michonne (Danai Gurira).
Blue Bloods (CBS)
The families Mother's Day celebration was interrupted when Frank and the NYPD had to covertly prevent a terrorist attack. Meanwhile, Danny and Jamie had to put aside their differences in order to rescue a boy from a cold case.
Blue Bloods will see a lot of new faces this season. Jamie will receive a new partner with a short fuse, and Erin's ex-husband (played by Peter Hermann) will face her in court as they argue over the constitutionality of police policy. Expect to see the family dynamics get even more intense.
New Girl (Fox)
Despite his resolution to move in with his ex-girlfriend, Nick broke down and instead drove his U-Haul into the middle of the desert. Eventually, he decided to stay with the gang. On that happy note, Schmidt broke up with Cece because he believed he wasn't good enough for her.
Jess is going to lose her job and the results will send her over the deep end. Creator Liz Meriwether hints that this will leave Jess with a huge identity crisis, as well as a new "interest" in a character. On top of everything, Schmidt will find it's not that easy to break up with Cece.
